AgXcel stainless steel tubes remain a major part of our precision fertilizer application line of solutions. Whether you’re looking to apply liquid when planting, drilling strip tilling or cultivating let us help you decide on the proper applicator that fits your placement and volume needs.
There are many different size stainless steel tubes on the market today that can have an affect on your volume and rate requirements. Various tubes have a 1/16” ID other's have a 1/4” ID and depending on your flow rate requirements the inside diameter of the tube will have an effect on system pressure, placement and whether the flow is a sporadic dribble or a constant flow.
This factor has an effect on whether liquid lands under the seed near the seed or between the seed. Do you want to apply liquid directly under the seed? One important factor to keep in mind is that liquid rate, volume and speed will determine whether there is enough volume to sustain a “constant” flow of liquid verses a sporadic dribble. With a sporadic dribble the chances of liquid falling beneath the seed falls dramatically and this is where the ID of the stainless steel tube, system pressure, speed and overall volume will determine the end result.
If you have any questions on whether to use a stainless tube, or other applicator give us a call, we would be happy to discuss this topic before you decide on a liquid applicator.
